Part Name: DRV8833 Dual Motor Driver Carrier
Part Description: A motor driver refers to a dedicated embedded electronic device that is capable of driving (and sometimes providing low-level control of) a DC motor or other similar electromechanical actuator or load. In many actuator applications, there is a need for circuitry that can provide high power to actuators while still being controlled by low power data signals from computers or microcontrollers. Motor drivers, like the one in our kit, typically have H-bridges that allow for DC motors to be driven in both directions. H-bridges accomplish bidirectional control by switching the polarity of the voltage being applied to the load. There is additional functionality added to the carrier for circuit and motor protection. The motor driver can be controlled via pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal from your microcontroller.
