Part Name: Digital Load Cell Weight Sensor 1KG + HX711

Part Description: A load cell is a type of sensor that can measure applied force. The load cell in your kit is referred to as a cantilever configuration load cell in that measures the bending force applied to one end of the unit. The sensor works by measuring changes in resistance across an array of strain gauges. Because of the low voltage signal, a specially designed amplifier board (HX711) is used to process the signal and relay it to your microcontroller using serial protocol. Check out Intro to Amplifiers for more information on load cell theory with an example!
