Part Name: Breadboard trim potentiometer

Part Description: A potentiometer is a passive electronic component that changes resistance depending on the physical position of a sliding mechanical contact (wiper). Put simply, a potentiometer is a variable resistor. It operates on the principle of voltage division by adjusting the proportion of resistance on each side of the voltage divider. The potentiometer in your kit can be adjusted between a range of $10k\Omega$ to effectively zero resistance by turning the knob. Potentiometers are commonly used as input devices to electrical circuits.
