Part Name: Smartsails 2M K Type Temperature Sensing Line TES1310 TM902C and Analog Output K-Type Thermocouple Amplifier – AD8495 Breakout

Part Description: A thermocouple is a temperature measurement device that works by taking advantage of the thermoelectric effect that occurs when two dissimilar conductors are connected at a junction (the bead at the end is the junction). In the case of K-type thermocouples, the junction is chromel-alumel. This effect results in a very small generated voltage depending on the temperature. The K-type thermocouple is the most frequently used general-purpose thermocouple due to its sensitivity, reliability, and accuracy. An amplifier is required in order to sense the very small generated voltage as well as an on-board cold junction compensation that accounts for offsets in temperature readings.
